Don’t be demoralized, IGP tells colleagues.

Inspector General of Police(IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has stated the resolve of the Nigerian Police Authorities to compensate the families of officers who lost their lives and those that were injured as a result of violence which erupted nationwide, following the shooting of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate.

The IGP who was on an inspection tour of properties damaged by hoodlums in Edo state said “I am working with the Police Service Commission so that those who lost their lives and those injured will get promotion to the next level.

We don’t need to be demoralised or leave the public space for criminals to occupy. While in service, we registered for Health Insurance Scheme but it stops when we retired, now the government has put it into legislation that the insurance will cover us even after retirement.”

Adamu, visited 11 injured officers at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital(UBTH) and police stations destroyed in Edo state. He also hinted the officers that the salaries of policemen has been adjusted by the Federal Government.
