The gubernatorial candidate of the African Action Congress(AAC) in Rivers state, Awara Biokpomabo has alleged threat to his life and that of his family members, following his decision to challenge the outcome of the just concluded Rivers state gubernatorial elections.
Speaking to correspondents in Port Harcourt, Awara said “I want to bring to the notice of Rivers people that me and members of my family are being trailed. My movement is being monitored, this is not what election should be about”.
Speaking further, Awara said it is his right to seek redress in court if he feels aggrieved over the elections and shouldn’t be a ground for threats to his life. He urged the security agencies to be put on notice over the development.
