Nigerian authorities have indicated a return to international movements from the nations’ airports.
International flights have been restricted except for ‘special reasons’, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika, announced this a while ago via his twitter handle.
“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”
With the resumption, Nigerians expect aviation authorities to comply with international best practices in order to ensure the safety of passengers.
