Obaseki defeats Oshiomole again.

Ahead of the big day(September 19th) in Edo state, incumbent governor Godwin Obaseki continues to rattle the political camp of former governor Adams Oshiomole.

The removal of Oshiomole as National Chariman of the ruling All Progressive Congress by the court of Appeal and the eventual dissolution of the National Working Committee(NWC) by the National Executive Committee(NEC), began as a suspension by his(Oshiomole’s) ward chairman. A move many say was masterminded by the governor.

The camp of the incumbent governor is in high spirits once again, following a judgment from an Abuja federal high court in favour of the governor.

Ugesia Godwin, Edobor Williams and Amedu Anakhu who filed the case before the court, alleged that the governor forged his academic certificates and therefore asked the court to disqualify him from the governorship election.

Sitting earlier today Justice Anwuli Chikere, following the absence of counsels to the petitioners struck out the case.
