The government of Ondo state is set to begin the eviction of unregistered herdsmen from the state today.
The state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu had last week given all herdsmen in the state a 7 days ultimatum to vacate all forest reserves in the state.
It is not yet clear what model the eviction will take, however, south-west governors are set to meet today in Akure with the leadership of Miyette Allah, in an attempt to resolve issues amicably.
Herdsmen of Fulani extraction have been accused across different states of land grabbing, destruction of farm lands and kidnapping.
