A suspected leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) in Rivers state, Stanley Mgbere, has begged, Governor Nyesom Wike, to show mercy.
Mgbere, has been declared wanted by the Rivers state government and a N50m bounty placed on his head for being behind the violence in parts of the state.
In a video circulated on Facebook, Stanley Mgbere denied being an IPOB member, saying he only partook in the #EndSARS protests in Onne which was peaceful.
“What happened in Onne was a peaceful protest and it was not done by only the community; it was done by Nigerians. But at the end, they said I am a member of IPOB. I am not a member of IPOB. I am a full indigene of Onne clan, which everybody knows.
I beg on the masses and beg everybody to share this video because my hands are clean. I know what I am facing right now, but I will never give up. Thank you very much and God bless you all.”
