You can’t suppress our voices.- Peller warns Gbajabiamila, Wase

A member of the House of Representatives(HOR) representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Honourable Shina Peller, has expressed his displeasure over moves by Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila and Deputy Speaker Ahmed Wase, to stifle his voice of his constituents.

In a viral video from a sitting of the HOR, Speaker Gbajabiamila, can clearly be heard saying he will not allow, Shina Peller, speak in the House of Representatives, a comment which did not go down well with Honourable Peller, who threatened to speak to the media. His(attempt) to approach the Speaker wasn’t successful, as colleagues fearing the outcome of that prevented him.

Addressing the matter, Shina Peller via his twitter handle made it clear to the speaker and his deputy, that neither his voice nor that of his constituents can be suppressed.

“As a HoR member, I represent the people of my Federal Constituency. Any time I stand up to speak, I do not speak for myself but for those I represent. I am their messenger. And nobody, not even the speaker @femigbaja and deputy @HonAhmedWase has the right to suppress their voices”
